FORKLIFT OPERATOR

DAY SHIFT, MONDAY – FRIDAY ONLY

POSITION SUMMARY

Carry out daily warehouse tasks and duties with accuracy and efficiency in a fast paced food manufacturing setting.

Job Description:

• Constant daily operation of a forklift

• Load outgoing trucks while ensuring product is not damaged prior to and during loading

• Unload incoming trucks while ensuring incoming materials are not damaged

• Deliver materials to appropriate production areas when needed

• Relocate finished products from end of production line to proper staging area

• Locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory

• Demonstrate accuracy while picking/fulfilling orders

• Assist production lines as needed

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED

• Valid, New York State Drivers’ License

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

• Basic math and reasoning skills

• Previous manufacturing experience

Work Environment:

• Noise: Can be loud – earplugs are provided for daily use

• Temperature: Can be hot or cold

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to sit for long periods at a time, bending, stretching, twisting, etc.
